spring thaw 2019 - at least its a start
After a windless dawn of 9 degrees Fahrenheit, the sunny afternoon set the thawing process into motion, sending the meltwater where gravity dictates. Something similar happened on a vast and extended scale 10,000 years ago when the most recent of the Ice Ages came to an end, filling the Great Lake basins and unburdening the landmass, allowing it to rise even still today.
